DISCUSSION SERIES 2003
The snow and rain storms took a rest for a couple of hours on May 3, it seems, and our fourth session of Discussion Series 2003 proceeded under dry skies at Red Butte Garden. Sketching in India ink with sticks rather than pens and working with brushes and washes, a small group of HUPC members and friends explored their perceptions and artistic renderings of the small and large worlds around them. Afterward, participants hung their pieces of the day along a bright wall of Red Butte and surveyed each other's creations.
Thanks to all of you who attended Margaret Pettis' Catching the Natural World drawing workshop, Dr. Robert Schmidt's Wolves discussion, Art Roscoe's discussion on Global Climate Change, and Dick Carter's panel discussion with Forest Service folks on the Wasatch- Cache NF Plan. This year's series was a great success. We cherished your probing thoughts. Please plan to join us next year!
